Dr. Wayne Schmidt, general superintendent of The Wesleyan Church, delivered an inspiring address to the graduates titled, โ€œLive Humbly and Courageously.โ€ His words of wisdom and encouragement emphasized the importance of listening to God. โ€œLive humbly,โ€ he urged, highlighting the life principle found in Psalm 138:6, which states that God opposes the proud but extends grace to the humble. Schmidt underscored the significance of leaning on God and humbly seeking His guidance throughout lifeโ€™s journey. Drawing on the insights shared at baccalaureate service by Ransom Poythress, Ph.D. and the graduates, Schmidt quoted the biblical command to be strong and courageous. His words served as a reminder to live humbly, listen to God and embrace courage in all aspects of life.
