With over 25 years of performance and technical experience, Carlton strives to unpack and find the fun in the intricacies of music production for students. An accomplished performer with a variety of national and international recording artists, his experiences include working with The Campbell Brothers, Sonny Landrith, Derek Trucks, Robert Randolph, Robben Ford, Warren Haynes, Charlie Hunter, John Medeski, Dr. Bobby Jones, Ricky Dillard, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Otis Taylor, and Bill Frisell. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has performed tracks that appeared on on The King of Queens andย The Sopranos, as well as a track sampled for Joan of Arcadia. A seasoned technical director, Carlton also shares his extensive experience in large churches, and managing touring performances and recording artists in the studio. More recently, Carlton became an assigned artist with Rope a Dope Records where he also serves as producer and mix engineer for an upcoming record release.

As I get older,ย this group will forever be 18-21 and will be the same pocket of youth thatย I can glean from. Iโ€™ve gained new favorite artists that I may not have been exposed to as they are listening to genres and artists that keep my creative spark there.โ€ย
